Double-clicking any OWL document using RDF-XML syntax within the URI Explorer will open that document in the OWL Editor. Typical text editor features are available, such as Copy/Cut/Paste. Several add-value features are provided by the editor to enhance the OWL developer's experience.
Recognized syntax elements are given different colors based on the type of element. Rather than using standard XML syntax highlighting, this editor recognizes common RDF, RDFS, and OWL language elements and distinguishes them from other element types. Invalid text is also distinguished from the valid elements of the document.
The editor will auto-indent new tags as they are typed, and will ensure that all OWL code added by wizards or other tools is properly formatted.
See Quick Assist
Any detectable errors or warnings that exist in a document are indicated by underlining the offending text and displaying an icon to the left of the editor window. The editor itself detects syntax errors within the document. Problems detected by other validation tools are also indicated by the editor.
