Select hybrid-ont.owl in URI Explorer then click the New OWL Class button on the SWeDE toolbar to bring up the New OWL Class Wizard
Enter "Hybrid" in the Class ID text box. Specify a Label and Comment if you wish and click the "OK" button. XML for the new class is automatically inserted inside the rdf:RDF tag.
Inside the Hybrid Class block, type "<" and pause for a moment. A list of Auto-Complete proposals appears, containing all known namespaces and the contents of the default namespace. Select rdfs from the list and the text is automatically inserted.
Type ":" and pause again, and another list of Auto-Complete proposals appears, this time containing the contents of the rdfs namespace. Select "<rdfs:subClassOf></rdfs:subClassOf>" from the list and the full tag is inserted.
Inside the open tag for rdfs:subClassOf, we want to add a resource attribute to complete the subclass relationship. Type "rdf:" and pause for a list of Auto-Complete proposals from the rdf namespace. Select rdf:resource="" from the list. With the cursor between the quotation marks, hit Ctrl+Space to activate Quick Assist and produce a list of all document URIs known within the project.
Select "http://owl-eclipse.projects.semwebcentral.org/owl/vehicle-ont" from the list. Type "#" and pause for a list of Auto-Complete proposals from vehicle-ont and select Car to complete the subclass relationship.
We want to declare a new instance of vehicle-ont#FuelType called GasElectric and assert that all instances of Hybrid implicitly use this type of fuel. First, type xmlns:veh="" in the opening rdf:RDF tag and use Quick Assist to make this namespace refer to vehicle-ont.
Now veh will appear on the namespace Auto-Complete list and its members can be enumerated when you type 'veh:'. Take advantage of this to create the FuelType instance.
After the first <rdfs:subClassOf></rdfs:subClassOf> block, use Auto-Complete and Quick Assist to insert the following text:
Alternatively, rather than manage restrictions manually, you can use SWeDE's Visual Restriction Editor to add the restriction.
Note that '#' Auto-Complete lists the contents of the URI specified in the xml:base attribute when it is activated with no URI preceding it.
